I went to Dr. Amir 2009-2011 and he was a great doc! He throughly examined me and saw me once a month and offered me the cortisone shots (which helped a lot) and also told me about a ton of herbal remedies for pain relief, that I eventually tried that did work as well as pain meds.... He is by far the best pain management dr I have ever been to and only stopped going because I was pregnant and didn't want to be on any medications during that time but I do Plan on calling the office real soon to get back into his practice!!
He is nothing more than a pill pusher. I am also a licensed medical person. I sought him out to get releif from my chronic pain. As soon as he got me into his office, he started filling out a script, while asking how I was doing. He didn't examine me except for my initial visit. That was a poor assessment at best. After a couple of times, I told him I wanted a better answer than a pill for my pain. He said" you have a lifetime of pain ahead. All I can do is give you narcotics to help" This is not legal from a driver's point of view as you can't drive until after 6 hours of taking a narcotic. He's not ethical as a physician as he does not provide a service except for a talking script person, does not provide adittional exams, only asks what he wants to hear. If you traverse outside the rhelm of service he is providing on a daily basis, he cuts you off.
